Transloading, also known as โcross dockโ service, is the transferring of goods to and from trailers or shipping containers. You need transloading services whenever your goods need to be physically moved from one vehicle or container to another.
Conquer Nation has been doing transloads, this includes complicated loading processes and even oversized items that require side loading onto a flatbed trailer. Whatever you need, we can make it happen quickly and efficiently.
How Transloading Works?
A simple transloading process may look like this:
- Goods arrive on truck A.
- Goods are offloaded into a dock area.
- Goods are reloaded onto truck B for transportation.
Transloading can be a complex process depending on:
- The particular goodsโ weight and dimensions
- The variety of goods involved
- The number of separate destinations they will be shipped to
At Conquer Nation, our process is organized and streamlined. We have the knowledge, experience, and expertise to skillfully handle even the most difficult transloading operations, which might include very heavy items or multiple trailers, containers, and shipping destinations.
Devanning and Consolidation
Transloading can also include the devanning of an ocean freight shipping container. In other words, the containerโs contents may need to be unloaded and segregated onto various pallets before we load them onto trailers for final transport.
For example, you might have a large container of imported goods scheduled to arrive via ocean freight in Long Beach, CA. If necessary, Conquer Nation can separate the contents of your container into smaller loads for transport to a variety of destinations.
The devanning process also commonly works in reverse. This consolidation happens when multiple smaller shipments arrive at the dock, and then need to be loaded onto a single unit for shipment to their next destination.
Our Cross Dock Facilities
Sometimes transloading happens immediately. Other times goods may need to be stored for a few days before we reload them for delivery. In either case, our warehouse facility is well equipped with everything we need for transloading and safe, secure storage.
Our facility is conveniently located in Los Angeles close to local airports and major local ports including Los Angeles rail.
